As We All know that VMware has changed it’s vSphere vCenter Product Architecture.
As of know we have below architecture.
1. PSC + vCenter and 2. PSC on Separate Server and vCenter on Separate Server
But we have Many Deployment Modes are available ( KB
Windows Infra Details Are as follow:
1. VMware work station
2. PSC01 – Windows OS (External) Name: PSC01
3. vCenter – Windows OS (External) Name: VCVA01
4. PSC+vCenter Server – Windows (Embedded) Name: PSCandvCenter
5. AD Server (vclass.local) Name: WIN-2k3-r2-64
Scenario 1:
@what if my my Web Client is Down.
1. Here you can see all the Service are running Fine.
2. But when I stop WebClient then I am getting below Error and not able to login.
Note: If you are using vSphere Client then you will be able to login and also able to work normal.
Scenario 2:
@ What if my vCenter is Down
Note: In Windows there is Dependency of Services on each other if you are trying to stop one Service it will not let you, but if you are using vCenter Server Appliance then in that case it will allow you there.
Here you can See My WebClient is working Fine.
Now when i am trying to Shutdown vCenter Server service then it will prompt me that these services are dependend on it and it will also effected or shutdown.
But what if i dont want rest of the Service will be effected so i moved to Webclient and Go to > Home > System Configuration > Select Node > Services > Stop
Note: but in backend all the services are automatically stop.
As expected it stop working.
WebClient is not working and at the backend Services are in stopping Mode.
Finally it will give you Error.
Important: vSphere Client is also stop responding and start giving Error.
